Valtteri Bottas Arrival at PLI
On 13th June, just for one day, the plant of PETRONAS Lubricants International in Villastellone turned into a motor racing circuit and had the honour to host the great Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas from Mercedes AMG PETRONAS team, on his way back from the Canadian Grand Prix where he got a great result taking second place.
Meeting with PLI employees
The purpose of his visit was to meet the people who every day develop solutions tailored to Mercedes Amg PETRONAS engine with which he races in Formula 1, and contribute to his successes. One of the most thrilling and intense moments was the question-and-answer session between the Finnish driver and the over 400 employees working at Villastellone plant. The meeting was moderated by the well-known anchor-woman Claudia Peroni.
1-Day Circuit Experience
The driver involved PETRONAS Lubricants International employees in an amazing experience: being co-pilots for one day, doing an exciting lap of Villastellone “One Day Circuit”. On board a Mercedes-AMG C 63 S, each of the 10 selected employees had the opportunity to sit next to the Mercedes driver during two exciting laps, turning a normal working day into a memorable day.
The new Research & Technology Center
At the end of the day, Valtteri Bottas visited the innovative Research & Technology centre, a real pole of technological excellence that is set to become one of the most important research and development centres in the world and he previewed the plant that will be inaugurated between December and February 2018.
