São Paulo, Brazil, June 11, 2019 – PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) introduced the new range of PETRONAS Syntium with °CoolTech™ to the Brazil market, bringing the latest ‘track-to-road technology’ in the most advanced engine lubricants to-date.
With improved API SN+, the range includes the premium low-viscosity PETRONAS Syntium 7000 Ultimate Series featuring the new PETRONAS Syntium 7000 0W-16 with °CoolTech™ and PETRONAS Syntium 7000 Hybrid with °CoolTech™, the company’s first oil for hybrid engines, marking PLI’s entry into the fast-expanding hybrid vehicle market.
Aside from new upgrades in the PETRONAS Syntium 7000 range, enhancements were also made to the PETRONAS Syntium 3000, PETRONAS Syntium 800 SE, PETRONAS Syntium 500 series and PETRONAS Syntium 300 series, to provide better engine performance and lower carbon emissions from motor vehicles.

PETRONAS Syntium with °CoolTech™ technology is formulated with strong oil chains to defend against excessive engine-damaging heat for a trouble-free drive. With the advancement of this formula, the engine’s vital components are protected, power output is maximized, fuel efficiency is optimized – keeping engines cool so that drivers, too, can keep their cool.

The introduction of PETRONAS Syntium 7000 Ultimate Series includes a lubricant recommended for hybrid engines, marking PLI’s debut into the hybrid car market is the result of the company’s technological strengths and commitment to CO2 emissions reduction through its fluid technology.
After a successful 2018, during which PLI pledged to dedicate 75% of its research and technology investments in projects to protect environment and lower CO2 emissions, the company is looking forward to more opportunities to apply its technology through co-engineering fluids with partners in this direction.
