The challenges Indian quarries face include escalating production costs due to unreliable and underperforming lubricants and spare parts, which contribute to unforeseen downtime. The dusty and harsh conditions compel field maintenance staff to conduct early hydraulic fluid changes, resulting in reduced operation cycles and higher lubrication and maintenance expenses. There is a demand for a high-viscosity fluid with an improved Viscosity Index (VI) to extend operational cycles and provide the added benefit of fuel savings.

PETRONAS recommended PETRONAS Hydraulic ESF 68, which meets all leading specifications and approvals. It is formulated with high shear stable PETRONAS ETRO Base Oil. PETRONAS Hydraulic ESF 68 also met the OEM's performance recommendation of a 5,000-hour oil life for extended drains and projected fuel saving of 6%-10%.
