Situation
The client:
Client 1: Atlas Copco, located in Belgium, is industrial compressor manufacturing company that is a part of Atlas Copco Group which provides innovative technology, products, services and solutions through their many brands.
Client 2: CNH Jesi is one of the many plants of CNH company that manufactures equipment for agriculture and construction. It is located in Italy.
Challenges
The problem, consequences & hesitations:
Both customers were measuring the level of their fluids manually. In some cases, their operators had to climb up to the tanks. Each day they would calculate the consumption based on the measurements. Therefore, they would order products estimating how much they would have consumed over the certain period of time without taking into account festive periods, production cutdown due to the recent pandemic and/or raw material shortage and workers strikes. This was leading to receive not right amount of product, ordering products too soon or too late and staff safety risk. Manual ordering was not reliable enough, so that they were craving for passing to automatic ordering.
Action
The solution:
Once we learned our customers were worrying too much about running out of the fluids and then to stop the production, we’ve started looking for a solution that helps them run their business smoothly and potentially solve other related pain points. Our Sales team introduced Fluid-i to Atlas Copco and CNH Jesi. After they’ve learned about what benefits Fluid-I would have brought, both of them decided to implement it.
After the technical inspection, they’ve both been proposed a fully stand-alone battery powered sensor which transmits the data via a built-in SIM card to a dedicated platform on which they would have the visibility of their stock. The implementation included the sensors installation, dashboard onboarding and automatic replenishment setup.
Result
The results & benefits:
With Fluid-I, both Atlas Copco and CNH Jesi could access to our dashboard to monitor all their tanks and receive a weekly email with the current fluid tank level and a report showing daily consumption of each tank as well as alert/alarm when a pre-set trigger value has been reached.
In addition to the dashboard, notifications and report via email are available.
